October 3, 4, 5, 10 & 11, 2003 Highland Upper Elementary Auditorium Directed by Bill Sullivan Musical Direction by No One Produced by John Jatcko
“The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940” is a hilarious mystery poking fun at the corny thrillers of Hollywood's heyday. The play begins with the production team responsible for a Broadway flop (in which chorus girls were murdered backstage by the mysterious "Stage Door Slasher") assembling for a backer's audition for their new show at the mansion of a wealthy "angel." A blizzard cuts off any possible retreat, the Slasher returns, knives spring out of nowhere and masked figures disappear with their victims. Accusations fly as the group desperately and comically tries to figure out whodunit.
