Finding Nemo Jr. – Meet and Greet

Finding Nemo Jr. – Meet and Greet

This is your chance to make your best fish face for a photo with familiar friends (not food), just keep singing along with the cast, and see how these fish go with the flow in a dance or two. So come out to meet the cast and get a sneak peak of the show while you enjoying several community vendors such as Tropical Sno and the Lions Club, amongst others!

We are proud to partner with the Louis Latzer Memorial Public Library for this event, and nothing would be possible without the show sponsors: Bradford National Bank Highland and Elfin Lights.

Swim on over to the Finding Nemo Jr. Meet and Greet at the Highland Square!! The cast can’t wait!

  • Highland Square
  • Saturday, June 3rd from 1-3 pm

And don’t forget to get your tickets ready for the show just a few weeks later!

Disney’s Finding Nemo Jr. Cast List!

Disney’s Finding Nemo Jr. Cast List!

Hi everyone!! I know that we say the same thing each year but each year the casting process gets harder and harder and harder. We had an unbelievable amount of talent that came out. We want to thank everyone that took the time to audition. You guys make our decisions really, really hard every summer!! We hope that anyone who did not get a role this year will keep trying and that we will see you back at auditions next year!!
For those of you who are in the cast, congratulations!!! I am really looking forward to working with all of you!! Please request to be added to the Facebook page “Hard Road’s Finding Nemo Jr. Cast & Crew” by Sunday, April 9th. On Monday the group status will be changed to PRIVATE. Only the parents, guardians and kiddos will be added.
Please know that if you are listed under ‘Dancer’ or ‘Ensemble’ you will be in multiple scenes throughout the show and will be singing in almost all the songs. Most of you are assigned parts that will have lines and/or solos.
Now, if you are NOT willing to accept your role, please send a private message on Facebook Messenger to the director(that’s me 🙂 ), GENTRY FIFER NESSEL, no later than Sunday at noon, April 9th.
Our mandatory parent meeting will be Monday, April 10th. Please bring your $75 fee with you that evening.
The first practice will be Monday, April 10th as well and it is a full cast read/sing thru, at the Louis Latzer Highland Library at 5:30pm. Now please bare with us over the next few weeks as we coordinate schedules and locations to fit the rest of our rehearsal needs 🙂

Disney’s Finding Nemo Jr. Audition Information

Show Announcement and Audition Update!!!!

Please read the entire post to get ALL the information!

The Hard Road board is excited to be able to put on this summer’s production of Disney’s Finding Nemo Jr. at the Highland Elementary Auditorium! The show will be performed 8 times, over two weekends – June 15th – 18th and 22nd – 25th. We are excited to have the financial support of Bradford National Bank to help make this show a reality! Below you will find the audition materials/procedures as well as some notes from the Production Team.

AUDITIONS
Here is information about the auditions this coming weekend/week:

Where: Highland Middle School – 2813 IL – 160, Highland, IL 62249 – enter through the front of the building for sign in

When: Saturday, April 1 at 10am or 2pm  OR  Monday, April 3rd at 6pm

IF callbacks are needed: Tuesday, April 4th at 6pm. You will be contacted if needed.

All performers only need to attend ONE audition time. Please be on time or you may be asked to come back for a different time frame

Who: All kids Aged 6 (1st going into 2nd grad) – 18 yrs old

What do you need:

1) Audition Form – Please print and fill out PRIOR to the auditions.

   – Please include ALL absences. PLEASE BE HONEST in listing your schedule conflicts. Surprises after the show has been cast can lead to major challenges and may cause your child to forfeit his/her role in the show. Unless your child has a major scheduling conflict, an occasional absence generally can be accommodated. Please note if you are only missing part of a practice. *** ALL rehearsals during TECH WEEK(the Sunday-Wednesday prior to opening night) are MANDATORY as well as the rehearsal between performance weekends***

   – Also, if you are only auditioning for certain roles and unable or unwilling to accept ensemble/chorus – PLEASE BE HONEST as well. It will NOT be held against you when we are casting. We have a limited number of cast members and I would hate to cast someone that can’t take the role and to cut someone that would.

2) Prepare a Joke (It helps break the ice and gives us a chance to see your personality!)

3) Scripts – Pick and Practice ONE set of lines to read from. (If you are auditioning for a different role, choose a character that most resembles the role you are going for – Feel free to be creative in the auditions) Please print for auditions.

4) Music – Pick and Practice ONE song. Kids will only have limited time to review the SONGS at auditions.

5) Dance – Practice the dance from the dance video listed below.  Kids will have the opportunity to review this dance while at auditions but will also be learning a bit more. **This doesn’t need to be perfect but make sure you are also having fun!

6) List of Characters – You will find a list of characters in this show with the other printed files.

7) PLEASE PRINT ALL THE MUSIC and SCRIPTS PAGES AT HOME. We will only have a few copies available to use at the auditions.

* You can find and download all the printed materials needed for Auditions in this Dropbox Link- https://www.dropbox.com/sh/eras7m97x9d0mxs/AACu2LxzdgDCzFrQqS8rc0Gra?dl=0

OTHER NOTES:
Parents will NOT be permitted into the space for the auditions – They will be in a meeting with the “Parent Wrangler” about what they can expect this summer. This is a MANDATORY meeting for at least one parent/guardian per actor.

Safety Protocols & Procedures for everyone’s safety
Masks are NOT required at the moment but there is always the possibility that things may change. We will let everyone know during the practices and shows if they do. We may add to or modify expectations as situations change and fluctuate over the course of the next few months.

Note from the Production Team
We are excited to be able to put on another show this summer and can’t wait to see everyone!! Be sure to practice the songs, dances and lines – Drink plenty of water – Avoid milk based products that morning – Get plenty of rest. Unfortunately, not everyone will have the opportunity to be in the show this year – Meaning that even if you have been in a show in the past, there are no guarantees for this show (SO – practice, practice, practice) 🙂 We wish you all the best and can’t wait to see everyone this weekend!

The cast list will be posted before or by Friday, April 7th. 1st practice will be Monday, April 10th. Watch the website and Facebook for details and updates!!
